Halloween Fruit is a fun and spooky treat that the kids will love! Such a simple way to get them eating fruit and excited about Halloween!
Halloween is such a fun time of the year. The kids are excited about costumes, and parties, and I’m in the kitchen thinking up fun and festive treats. Combined, we always have an epic Halloween celebration and it’s one of my most favorite times of the year. It never fails that the kids want something “spooky” (but not too spooky) for their Halloween treats and this year, I think I’ve found the perfect snack. This fun Halloween fruit has the look down to be a simple yet scary treat. The kids will love seeing the looks on the fruit and have even more fun gobbling them up! I love that they’re also an awesome healthy Halloween treat for kids!
What fruit works best to make Halloween fruit?
I like to use fruits that I know the kids are going to eat and that are non-fussy and readily available. This is why I used common bananas, grapes, apples, strawberries, and pears. You can use the same or switch it up to whatever fruit your children love.
Can you prep these Halloween treats ahead of time?
You bet! Just be aware the bananas, pears, and apples will start to turn brown once the oxygen touches them so you might want to wait and prepare those last to keep them looking fresh. I’ve heard you can add lemon juice to apples to prevent browning but remember some kids don’t like the taste of lemons.

How to make a fruit platter
Once you have all the fruit made up, you can arrange them however you’d like on the platter. There isn’t really any order that matters – just place them on in a way that you like and that makes sense to you. Also note the quantities above are what we used but of course you can make more or less!
How to store leftover fruit
If you happen to have any fruit leftover, just put a lid on the platter or put them in an airtight container and keep them stored in the fridge.
