Chocolate Strawberry Turkeys

Chocolate Strawberry Turkeys are a fun Thanksgiving treat is sure to get gobbled up quickly at the dessert table. They are simply made with no baking involved with chocolate, strawberries, pretzels and marshmallows.

Ingredients

  • Pretzel Sticks
  • Mini Marshmallows
  • Strawberries
  • White Candy Melts
  • Chocolate Almond Bark or semisweet chocolate chips or candy chocolate melts
  • Wooden Skewers

Instructions

  • Step 1. Assemble the turkey legs by cutting off the corner of 2 mini marshmallows. These are what will stick to the sides of each strawberry.
Break a pretzel stick in half.
Stick a half pretzel piece into the smaller side of the marshmallow that was cut. Make 2 of these for each strawberry as they will resemble the turkey legs.
Step 2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and melt chocolate almond bark on the stovetop or microwave, according to directions.
Dip a small amount of the chocolate onto the flat end of the marshmallow and stick it to one side of the strawberry. Repeat with the other pretzel/marshmallow and stick it to the opposite side of the strawberry.
Repeat until all of your strawberry turkeys have legs.
Place all turkeys onto parchment paper lined baking sheet and place in refrigerator for about 5 minutes or until chocolate has hardened.
Step 3. Remove from refrigerator and insert wooden skewer into strawberry on the stem end, one at a time. This will allow for easier dipping into the chocolate.
Dip into chocolate and allow all excess chocolate to drip off before placing back onto the parchment paper. Remove skewer and repeat for use on the next turkey.
Once all of the turkeys have been dipped into the chocolate, place the baking sheet into the refrigerator to harden for about 5 minutes.
While they're hardening, melt the white candy melts.
Dip just the bottom of the legs (the end part of the pretzel) into the white chocolate.
Serve them on a plate and we can guarantee everyone will gobble them right up! Best served day of as the strawberries are the freshest.
