Cupcake Flower Bouquet

Grab a plant pot and your favorite mini cupcake recipe and frosting to make this adorable cupcake flower bouquet! Perfect for spring or Mother's Day!

Ingredients

  • Your favorite mini cupcakes baked up (we used vanilla but you can use any flavor!)
  • Your favorite frosting (store-bought is fine!) We used pink and white.
  • A small terra cotta planter
  • Styrofoam ball that sits in the planter
  • Green tissue paper
  • Toothpicks
  • Star piping tip (open start Wilton 1M Tip)
  • Piping bag

Method

  1. Step 1. Cut squares of tissue paper (this will depend on how big your pot is but around 2" is what we did). Grab a few squares around 4-5 pieces and punch a toothpick in the center. Gather the sides and scrunch them up. This is more evident in the video on this post!
  2. Step 2. Place your styrofoam ball on top of the pot. Then evenly space out the cupcakes on the foam ball using toothpicks. Fill up the empty spaces with the green tissue paper to resemble leaves.
  3. Step 3. Frost your cupcakes with the star piping tip. Simply and slowly pipe two rounds making sure the second is a bit taller and fuller than the first to resemble a rose. It's easier if you go slow if it's your first time piping!
