Easter Cookie Cake

Easter is a fun time to make cute and delicious treat with your kids. This Easter cookie cake is perfect to bake with kids and comes together easily using ready-made cookie dough, frosting and chocolate candies shaped into cute bunnies!

Ingredients

  • 2 packages of Nestle store-bought chocolate chip cookie dough (16 oz each)
  • Your favorite frosting (we used store bought in yellow and white but you can make your own and color)
  • Easter-themed sprinkles
  • Pastel-colored M&Ms
  • Piping bags and piping tips (we used start tips)

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 375 degrees. Grease a 12" skillet pan or round baking panLet your cookie dough defrost for 15-20 minutes outside the refrigerator. Then combine the dough into the pan, pressing down evenly all around.
  2. Bake for about 20-25 minutes or until the edges start to brown. Allow to cool completely before decorating. You can remove the cookie cake from the pan or keep it inside like we did before decorating.
  3. Frost a layer around the edges as we did in yellow. Then a smaller inner layer of frosting as we did in white. It doesn't matter what piping tip you use you can use what you have on hand!
  4. Take your pastel M&Ms and make bunnies. You will need 3 of the same color for one bunny. Press two standing up for the ears. The one flat side down for the head. If your cookie cake is too cooled you can add a dab of frosting using a toothpick to make the M&Ms adhere.
