Fruit Waffle Flowers

These fruit Waffle Flowers are a healthy and fun way to start the day, but they're also a great opportunity to get your kids involved in the kitchen!

Ingredients

  • Waffles (You can use your favorite recipe or store-bought version)
  • Strawberries
  • Oranges
  • Kiwi fruits

Method

  1. Step 1: Prepare Your Waffles
Start off by making or heating your waffles. We used ready-made frozen waffles to make this cute breakfast easy peasy.
  2. Step 2: Cut Your Fruit
While your waffles are cooking or heating up, begin preparing your fruit. Cut the strawberries into slices - these will serve as the beautiful 'petals' of your flowers. Next, peel and slice your oranges and kiwi fruits into small pieces. We used the kiwi as leaves and orange as the "sun" and more petals.
  3. Step 3: Assemble Your Fruit Waffle Flowers
Now comes the fun part! Start with a round waffle as the flower base. Arrange the strawberry and orange slices around the edge of the waffle to form the petals of the flower. Then add kiwi slices as leaves.
Cut waffles into strips for the stem and smaller strips if you want to create a sun with an orange slice!
  4. Step 4: Serve and Enjoy!
Place your Fruit Waffle Flowers on a plate and surround them with the remaining orange and kiwi pieces if you'd like to create a garden-like effect. And voila! You have a garden of edible flowers ready to be devoured by your little ones.
