How to Make a Grape Hedgehog

This cute grape hedgehog not only makes a fun animal food art snack for kids, but is a great way for them to practice their fine motor skills!

Ingredients
  

  • 1 Small pear
  • Grapes any color will do
  • 1 Small blueberry
  • 2 Mini chocolate chips

Method
 

  1. Wash and dry your pear and use a vegetable peeler to peel the top portion that will be his face.
  2. Trim the pear stem and insert a blueberry for his nose.
  3. Insert two small mini chocolate chips as his eyes. We just squeezed the top part in and they held!
  4. Insert toothpicks all around the bottom pear portion that still has skin.
  5. Invite your child to add grapes one at a time to the toothpicks as "quills" and fill out your grape hedgehog!
