Sandal Sandwiches

Summer is coming and these sandal sandwiches are the perfect snack to pack to the beach or outdoor summer outing!

Ingredients
  

  • Sliced Bread
  • 4" Sandal Cookie Cutter
  • Sliced Deli Ham or Turkey
  • Cheese
  • Mini Peppers
  • Mini Cucumbers
  • Cream Cheese (optional)

Instructions
 

  • Prepare your sandwiches as you normally would, deli ham and cheese between two slices of bread. Using your sandal cookie cutter, press into the center of each sandwich, making sure to get through all of the layers. 
    Slice and deseed mini peppers. Slice 2 thin pieces to resemble the strap of the sandal. Slice mini cucumber and cut into small square or other shape. Using a toothpick place a small amount of cream cheese on back of cucumber so it stays in place (optional). Place on top of peppers, in the center where they meet at the top to resemble a sandal strap. 
    So no food goes to waste, keep the extra sandwich pieces and cut into small squares and eat as finger sandwiches, make homemade croutons with the excess bread, or maybe you live in an area with animals that would enjoy the bread crumbs!
