Turkey Pull-Apart Cupcakes

Create a festive Thanksgiving dessert with these adorable turkey pull-apart cupcakes! Decorate with vibrant buttercream swirls for feathers, and finish with chocolate and candy details to bring your turkey to life—a fun, easy treat everyone will love.

Ingredients

  • 24 cupcakes (baked and cooled, using your favorite cake mix)
  • Chocolate icing
  • Red icing
  • Orange icing
  • Yellow icing
  • Piping bags
  • Large star piping tip
  • Googly eye candies

Method

  1. Bake and Cool Your Cupcakes
Start by baking your favorite cake mix into 24 cupcakes according to the package instructions. Once baked, allow them to cool completely before decorating.
  2. Arrange Your Cupcakes
Once the cupcakes have cooled, arrange them in a turkey shape. It will resemble a large diamond.
  3. Frost the Cupcakes
Using a piping bag filled with chocolate icing and fitted with a star tip, pipe a rosette onto the center bottom cupcake to create the turkey’s body, and the cupcake directly above it for the turkey’s head. For the surrounding cupcakes, use the red, orange, and yellow icing in separate piping bags to pipe colorful rosettes that represent the turkey’s feathers.
  4. To bring your turkey to life, add candy googly eyes. Use the orange icing to pipe a small beak and the red icing to pipe a wattle on the front of the central cupcake.
  5. Use some orange icing to pipe two feet on your cake board below the turkey’s body!
