Wreath Cupcakes (Pull-Apart Cake)

This festive pull-apart Wreath Cupcakes are decorated with swirls of green frosting, colorful candy "ornaments," and a fondant bow, creating a delightful and impressive Christmas dessert.

Ingredients

  • 22 cupcakes (baked and cooled, using your favorite cake mix!)
  • Green icing (we used store-bought but you can make your own!)
  • Piping bag
  • Large star piping tip
  • M&M candies (or similar)
  • Red fondant bow (we used this mold to make it)

Method

  1. Step 1: Bake and Cool Your Cupcakes
Start by baking your preferred cake mix into 24 cupcakes according to the package instructions. Allow them to cool completely before moving on to decorating.
  2. Step 2: Shape Your Wreath
Once cooled, shape your cupcakes into a wreath shape.
  3. Step 3: Frost the Cupcakes
Using the green icing in a piping bag fitted with a large star tip, pipe wide rosettes onto each cupcake. If there are gaps, you can pipe additional green icing between cupcakes to fill any gaps.
  4. Step 4: Add the Ornaments
Carefully place M&M candies on the rosettes to represent festive ornaments. Feel free to mix and match colors to create a vibrant and cheerful look!
  5. Step 5: Add the Bow
Add your red fondant bow to the top of your wreath! We used a mold to make a perfect little bow for ours.
