This TikTok Tortilla Egg recipe makes an easy and delicious quick breakfast topped with eggs baked right on the tortilla with your favorite toppings like cheese, avocado and salsa.
There have been several TikTok egg trends over the years, sometimes with tortilla in one recipe, sometimes separate with other ingredients, but one never as easy and delicious as these tortilla eggs. Garnished with your own toppings, it’ll definitely satisfy the palette.

He goes by the name, Alfredo Sauce @freddsters on TikTok and has made so many delicious-looking recipes, including these Tortilla Eggs. TikTok user @Food52 made the recipe, reposted, and reviewed and we couldn’t resist doing the same.
How do eggs on tortillas taste?
Let us tell you, we will absolutely be making these again. Quick, easy and absolutely delicious, we made 2 for everyone and am tempted to do it again for tomorrow’s breakfast. The flavor and crispiness of the corn tortillas create the perfect exterior.
The eggs cooked perfectly, according to directions, with the yolk filling the tortilla once we took the first couple of bites. Although the recipe uses pico de gallo and cilantro, we added salsa and sliced avocado.
What substitutions could I make to the Tortilla Eggs recipe?
You could substitute corn tortillas for flour, almond, or even cassava tortillas. Use your favorite shredded cheese or blend that you would normally use for any egg-based breakfast casserole.
A flavorful addition would be Trader Joe’s Everything but the Bagel Sesame Seasoning Blend in place of salt and pepper. As the original recipe uses pico de gallo and cilantro, we used salsa instead.

How do you make the viral TikTok Tortilla Eggs?
Add oil to a pan and coat both sides of the tortillas. Cook them on low to medium heat until the tortillas start to get slightly crispy.
Add egg onto tortilla.
Add a splash of water to the pan, cover, and cook until the whites of the egg are almost set and not runny, 4-5 minutes.
Sprinkle on cheese, cover again and cook until the whites of the egg are fully set, but the yolk is still a little runny.
Add sliced avocado and salsa or any of your favorite toppings.
Dash of salt and pepper.
Remove from the pan, fold into a taco shape and enjoy!
