My kids and I are huge dessert fans. However, I’m also looking for healthy desserts that you can make in minutes, with minimal prep work. It’s a win-win, and this Banana Split on a Stick seriously takes the cake!

If you’ve ever been to Dairy Queen, then you know about their famous banana split! It’s 3 scoops of vanilla ice cream topped with strawberry syrup, pineapple syrup, and chocolate syrup, with a split banana on each side. It’s pretty hard to replicate that; however, I think this recipe does a darn good job at being a healthy alternative! The fruit is lightly dipped in chocolate and sprinkled with nuts, so you still get that banana split flavor, without all the guilt!

Whether you’re on the hunt for a healthier treat for the kids, or you want to try out a different recipe, you can’t go wrong with this delicious snack! The kids are big fans of the fruit and chocolate combo. I’m talking chocolate-covered strawberries, dipping fruit into chocolate fountains, and chocolate-covered ice cream bars with fruit-flavored ice cream! Basically chocolate rocks, and so does this recipe.

If you’re bored on a Friday night and want a quick dessert, or you’re going to a birthday party and don’t know what to bring, you can whip this dessert up, lickity split!

Some Delicious Q&A:

Can I add different fruit?

Yes! If you’re not a huge fan of the fruits I have listed, just swap it out with any fruit you like! Berries would be a little harder to put on a skewer, but would be quite tasty with chocolate.

How can I jazz this up?

If you’re a fan of coconut like me, sprinkling some coconut flakes on top of the chocolate would be a tasty addition! If you’re not a fan of chocolate, caramel drizzle is always a winner! You can’t forget the whipped cream! If you have some Reddi Whip or even homemade whipped cream, just throw a couple of dollops on top!

This can’t be as good as Dairy Queen’s banana split, can it?

I don’t know if anything can truly top a Dairy Queen banana split. But, if you’re looking for an easy, healthy alternative, this recipe is right up your alley!
