Easy Penguin Cupcakes: Ingredients
- Ready-made cupcakes (any flavor)
- Ready-made white frosting
- Oreos
- Colorful candies (for the beak and legs)
- Shredded coconut
- Mini chocolate chips (for the eyes)
How to Make Penguin Cupcakes:
Step 1: Prepare Your Ingredients
Before you start, make sure your cupcakes are cool if they are freshly baked. Have Oreos ready, along with your colorful candies sorted by color for the beaks and feet. If you’re using shredded coconut, place it in a bowl for easy access.
Step 2: Frost the Cupcakes
Take your white frosting and add it to a piping bag with a large round tip. If you don’t have a bag or tip, you can simply spread frosting on with a scoop, spoon or palette knife. It will be covered in coconut so it doesn’t need to look fancy! Dip the frosted cupcake onto shredded coconut to give it a snowy look.
Step 3: Create the Penguin Bodies
For the penguin’s body, you’ll need 2 Oreos. Split one Oreo in half and carefully cut a triangle of cream off one side as the penguin’s head. Cut the other Oreo side in half and use them as the two penguin wings. Stick the head and wings onto the frosting.
Step 5: Make the Faces
For the penguin’s face, stick a candy as the beak and two mini chocolate chips.
Step 6: Add the Feet
Use two colorful candies and place them at the bottom of the cupcake to create the feet.
If you wish you could decorate your cupcake further by adding a colorful candy scarf!
Conclusion
And voilà, your penguin cupcakes are complete! These holiday treats are sure to be a hit at any holiday gathering, and making them is just as fun as eating them. Get the kids involved in the kitchen and enjoy your holiday baking!
