However as we mentioned the original recipe for Avocado Bread has been around for some time as far back as 1973 according to the Food Network. The use of avocado as the fat for this quick bread recipe is genius, as it omits the need for traditional fats such as oil or butter.

Although it’s denser than a typical yeast-based bread, the flavor is still spot on. It has a delicious, fluffy flavor. With just the right amount of sweetness to balance out the subtle taste of the avocado, it actually tasted better than we had expected.

This bread comes together in one bowl and is a super easy quick bread recipe. You’ll first line a bread loaf pan with parchment paper, or lightly grease.
Mix ripe avocados and sugar in a medium bowl until fully combined. Add the eggs and mix thoroughly.
Combine your dry ingredients like the flour and baking powder and fold into the bread mix without over-mixing.
Bake for 45-50 minutes in a preheated 350 degree oven or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
