Can I make this with all types of lollipops?

You can. You can easily use any type of lollipops that you want. You can use Tootsie Roll Pops, Blow Pops, or even just fruit-flavored suckers, too.

The key to making these bunny treats is to have a round lollipop top with a long sucker stick. Those two elements allow you to create that bunny look that you need to make these easy bunny treats.

How To Make Bunny Lollipops

These bunny treats couldn’t be easier to make! Since you only have to put together a few pieces, you can make quite a few in a short amount of time!

First, pick out the lollipops that you want to use. You can make as many as you want – just be sure you have enough corresponding supplies to finish them.

Paint your bead white and let dry.

Flip the lollipop upside down and add the bead. Next, cut a heart shape out of white or pink foam paper. These are the bunny feet.

Once you cut out the feet. add a dollop of hot glue to the middle of the heart, and glue the rounded edge of the sucker onto it. This will dry and hold the sucker in place.

Grab the white or pink pipe cleaner and fold it to make bunny ears. Glue into place and attach.

Fold a piece of ribbon into a bow and add to the ears.

Use the pink and black markers and draw the face.

Finish off the details by adding mini pom poms in the front for hands, one in the back for the tail, and a tiny pink one for the nose.

How To Display Rabbit Lollipops

The fun part about making these cute suckers is that you have options on how to display or hand them out.

Make a bunny bouquet – If you want to bring a smile to someone’s face, put several of these cute suckers together and hand them a bouquet!

Cellophane bags – Drop some of the suckers into bags and hand them out to family and friends.

Make a gift basket – If you have other Easter or bunny treats, make a basket and add these to it!

There are a lot of ways that you can display them, too! Even just setting them out on desks or tables are a super fun idea! They make tasty treats and fun decorations.

Variations on Lollipop Bunnies

Change the type of suckers. You can even have a mix-and-match of flavors and options! No one says that you have to have one choice and stick to it.

Find new ways to add ears. Pipe cleaners are super cute, but there are other ways to add ears. Cutting out pieces of cardboard white paper would be one idea!

Create silly faces. Let the kids have fun adding their personalities to create silly faces. They can make lips, eyes, and more!

Wrap the lollipops in colored tissue paper so they can be customized further with color.

Can I Make These Easter Treats In Advance?

Of course! Since you’re not actually using any real food ingredients, you can prep and make these ahead of time!

As long as you have all the supplies needed, this is a perfect way to have them ready to go, even weeks before you need them.

How To Use These As Easter Bunny Decorations

Using candy and food items is a great idea for decorations. Since they don’t have to be stored in a certain way, you can easily make them and have them as centerpieces and more.

These are also super cute to have on the kid’s table at Easter or family gatherings as well. Just pay attention because the kids may try and grab and enjoy before eating their dinner!

Can I use these fun, creative ideas to make lollipop characters for other holidays?

You sure can! The bunnies are simple to make because they are just feet and ears, but you can easily use this lollipop idea for other holiday treats, too!

See if you can make a spooky idea for Halloween, a lovey-dovey idea for Valentine’s Day, or a snow idea for Christmas.

The roundness of the suckers makes a great base for branching off to other ideas.

What can I use instead of hot glue?

Using hot glue and a hot glue gun is the best option, but that doesn’t mean you have to use them.

If you don’t have them as options, you can use double-sided tape as well or glue dots which come in various sizes.

You can also use regular Elmer’s glue, but just be sure that you give it plenty of time to dry and hold things into place. I would start by adding the feet first, letting them dry fully, and then adding the rest after that.

Use this fun sucker activity as a way to make something cute and edible with the kids. They can help in the entire process as long as you’re there to help with the glue!

Let them work on their fine motor skills and cutting skills, and also a bit of patience while the glue is drying. The wait is worth it because they’ll love chowing down on these cute bunny suckers!
