This Caramel Apple Slice Bar is a fun and easy fall snack for kids! They will love dipping apple slices into their favorite toppings to make caramel apples!
One of our favorite fall snacks is apples! This Caramel Apple Slice Bar is just one of the fun ways you can use a regular muffin tin to make eating apples fun! Of course we didn’t just stop at caramel! There are so many fun toppings you can add to your muffin tray so that each kid gets to make their own caramel apples!
What are some fun Caramel Apple Toppings?
We topped our muffin tray off with some of our favorites like caramel, chocolate sauce, diced almonds, and mini marshmallows. If you have a larger muffin pan, you can add more toppings like:
- various nuts (pecans and walnuts are great on apples!)
- sprinkles
- graham crackers (the addition of marshmallows and chocolate is a yummy S’mores twist!)
- crushed candies
- crushed cookies
- coconut
- mini chocolate chips
- basically any of your favorite sweet or candies in tiny bite-sized morsels!
Ingredients for a Caramel Apple Slice Bar
- Sliced apples (tart apples like granny smith are great however we used a red variety here since that’s what we had)
- Caramel sauce (store-bought is what we used or make your own)
- Chocolate sauce (we used Hershey’s the type you drizzle on ice cream sundaes)
- Crushed toasted almonds
- Mini marshmallows
- Muffin tray
