This Herb and Goat Cheese Tomato Pasta is as easy as that baked Feta pasta cheese recipe! The herbs add delicious fresh flavor.
Everyone is in love with easy homemade dinners that are quick and simple. No surprise since many of us are trying our best with kids home from school right now. Then if you add the latest TikTok food trend of baked feta pasta, it’s no surprise everyone wants more ideas! Easy pasta recipes are always a hit with parents who want to get dinner on the table quick for hungry little mouths!
It’s no surprise that the idea of tossing ingredients together and baking is on the rise during these interesting times. Easy dinners are important any time of the year, but right now with some of us snowed-in or still on a quarantine, these become our go-to meals for the week. We realized this is similar to the casserole phase we saw in decades past. Baked cheese pastas are easy and typically crowd-pleasers so we added another to the list with our dinner hack of Herb and Goat cheese tomato pasta. Another perfect weeknight meal that even the kids can help to make.
We saw many comments about how feta wasn’t a cheese that you could find in stores since the hack went viral, and we also saw some comments about it not being a flavor that many liked. Another TikTok baked pasta, this one replaces the feta with goat cheese you can use any type that you can find, plain or herbed. Goat cheese melts nicely and has a very creamy texture that is sure to be kid-approved. The ingredients are kept to a minimum for the basic recipe, but we give you some ideas to make it your own.
How to Make Goat Cheese Pasta
The preparation on this is simple, you will gather all of your ingredients and then assemble them in a bake-proof dish. It works best to put the goat cheese in the center and then spread your tomatoes all around it. While that is baking you can make the pasta – you can use any type your family enjoys – cook until al dente so that the sauce will absorb into the pasta
. Once baked and completed melted, the tomatoes will burst and form a sauce that you can mix your pasta into. Top with garnish of your choice and it’s ready to serve!
What to Add This Baked Goat Cheese Pasta to Make It More Flavorful
The options for add-ins are endless. Cooked vegetables would be great to add to this dish. Broccoli, spinach, kale or, zucchini would be yummy. You could even put this sauce on top of spaghetti squash if your family is trying to stay away from carbs. Meat is another add-in to make this meal heartier and you could add pancetta, cubed or shredded chicken or, even sausage to the pasta when you stir it together. If you have a favorite Italian spice blend, you can add that, keeping in mind that if you use a pre-herbed goat cheese you may want to take it easy on the spices.
We know you will love the simplicity of this recipe and the quick preparation too. And the best part is it’s a wonderful base recipe that you can add your favorites to for a quick meal your family is sure to enjoy.
