One Hour Focaccia Bread

Foccacia Bread Instructions:

Blend It Up: In a food processor, briefly blend the water, sugar, kosher salt, and instant yeast.

Add the Flour: Add the flour to the wet mixture in the food processor. Blend until just combined, being careful not to overmix.

Knead the Dough: Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead it a few times until it forms a smooth ball.

Let It Rise: Place the dough in a bowl, cover it with a clean towel, and let it rise covered with a cloth for 15 minutes.

Shape the Focaccia: After the dough has risen, shape it into a rectangle about ½ inch thick on a 9" x 12" sheet pan lined with parchment paper or greased. Let that rise covered with a cloth for 10 minutes.

Season and Drizzle: Sprinkle the sea salt, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning over the dough. Drizzle the olive oil evenly over the top.

Create Dimples: Use your fingertips to gently press down on the dough, creating dimples all over the surface.

Final Rise: Cover the dough again and let it rise for an additional 15 minutes while preheating your oven to 450°F.

Bake: Once the dough has finished its final rise, bake it in the preheated oven for approximately 20 minutes, or until the top is golden brown.

Enjoy: Remove the focaccia from the oven and let it cool slightly before slicing and serving. Enjoy your homemade focaccia with your favorite toppings or as a side to your favorite meal!
