I’m always on the lookout for yummy meals my family and kids will love. You can’t go wrong with pizza in our home we’ve made everything from pizza pies, pizza toast and biscuit pizzas! I thought I’d seen all the pizza hacks until I saw this TikTok viral Pizza Pockets Ice Cube Tray Hack. Imagine making these scrumptious mini pizza pockets made with crescent dough and ice cube trays – a quick and creative meal hack that’s perfect for busy families.
Trust us, this clever twist on a classic family favorite is sure to delight taste buds of all ages, and it’s so simple that even the little ones can join in on the fun. How do you make pizza pockets with an ice cube tray?
The key to this easy food hack is using Pillsbury crescent dough sheets. That is what we used but you could also use pizza dough sheets or rolled out pizza dough. A flat dough sheet makes it easy to lay over your ice cube tray.
Then simply layer the cubes with your favorite toppings and add another layer of dough on top to bake!
Mini Pizza Pockets – Ingredients
- 2 sheets of Pillsbury Crescent Roll Sheets
- Pizza Sauce
- Shredded Mozzarella
- Cooking oil spray
- Italian seasonings (dried)
- Ice Cube Tray (ours is 16 count)
What are some fun pizza fillings?
- Pepperoni and cheese: This classic combination is always a crowd-pleaser. Simply layer pepperoni and shredded mozzarella cheese inside the pocket.
- Veggie: For a healthier option, try filling your pizza pocket with sautéed vegetables like bell peppers, onions, and mushrooms. You can also add spinach or kale for some extra greens.

Pizza Pocket Ice Cube Tray Hack
Ingredients
- 2 sheets of Pillsbury Crescent Roll Sheets
- Pizza Sauce
- Shredded Mozzarella
- Cooking oil spray
- Italian seasonings (dried)
- Ice Cube Tray (ours is 16 count)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
- Spray your ice cube tray with cooking oil.
- Add a layer of crescent roll dough over the cubes.
- Add pizza sauce and cheese just below the top. Making sure to not overfill.
- Add another crescent layer over sealing the sides.
- Use a fork to crimp along the edges and in between the cubes. Cut out any excess dough
- Freeze until dough is hardened enough to cut.
- Flip the dough out from the tray and cut the cubes. Remove any excess dough.
- Place cubes on a parchment lined baking pan bottom side up. Spray with cooking oil and add a sprinkling of dried Italian seasonings on top.
- Bake for 12-15 mintues until the tops are browned.
