If you’re looking for a lighter holiday treat look no further than these cute healthy and easy Grinch fruit kabobs!

These Grinch fruit kabobs are very easy to make and a great way for the kids to get their fruits in, a healthier holiday treat alternative to some of the sweeter holiday snacks and treats.

We love Dr. Seuss and enjoy watching The Grinch movies over the holiday break, so decided to make this snack to go along with the theme. Be sure to make extra as the kids will eat more than you would expect.

If you want to get extra creative, you could use pre-made frosting, edible marker, melted chocolate or icing to draw grinch faces on the grapes.

If you don’t want to use bananas or don’t have any on hand, cut a large marshmallow in thirds and use it instead. Toothpicks would also work great if you don’t have wooden skewers and as long as everything still fits.

How do you make Grinch Fruit Kabobs?

Wash your grapes and strawberries and let dry.

First, thread a green grape onto your skewer.

Slice your banana and skewer on top of the grape. Be sure it’s a thick enough slice so it holds well onto the skewer and doesn’t split.

Slice the stem of a strawberry and thread it onto the skewer, with the top of the strawberry facing up.

Top with a mini marshmallow, also threading onto the skewer and so that the tip of the skewer isn’t poking through the marshmallow as it represents the top of the Grinch’s hat.

Serve immediately or within an hour to avoid browning of the banana slice and the freshest.

Tip: If you’re not serving these immediately or want to assemble them beforehand, to avoid the banana slices from browning, place them in a bowl of water and lemon juice before assembling.
