These refreshing fresh fruit popsicles are the perfect afternoon treat for those hot summer days. Cool and healthy with nothing but fruit juice and fresh fruit.

As summer approaches, we often find ourselves looking for the perfect summer treat to enjoy after the pool, a warm summer walk, or an afternoon at the beach. It’s usually in popsicle form as they often make it more fun for the kids to make and enjoy themselves or with their friends. These fresh fruit popsicles are made with only a few ingredients, lemonade and a few of the best summer fruits.

You’ll want to make several big batches for the family to enjoy all summer long!

The fresh fruit popsicles are so easy to make. Just make sure if you’re headed to the beach in the morning, make them ahead of time with plenty of time for them to freeze, about 6-8 hours. You’ll be able to enjoy them once you return home!

What other fruits can you add to these fresh fruit popsicles?

There are so many delicious fruits in the spring and summer. While we chose to use strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, kiwi and peaches, you could also use a combination of cherries, pineapple, mango, blackberries, or even cotton candy grapes.

Are there any substitutions for the lemonade?

Although lemonade is very refreshing and most delicious in the summer, and the fruit is very visible through a clear liquid in your popsicles, you could easily use apple juice, white grape juice, sierra mist, orange juice, pineapple juice, or ginger ale.

How long does it take for the popsicles to freeze?

The best thing would be to make them in the evening and they’ll be ready by morning, but when we made ours, they were frozen within 6 hours.

INSTRUCTIONS:

Prepare your popsicle molds in the stand or holder.

Wash all of the fruit as needed.

Slice strawberries, peel and slice kiwi and peaches. We used jar peaches since they’re not quite in season here just yet.

Place the assortment of fruit into the popsicle molds and use a butter knife or popsicle stick to press the fruit against the sides of the popsicle mold.

Continue to add fruit to fill the popsicle mold. Really pack it in there.

Pour the lemonade slowly into each popsicle mold, leaving about 1/4″ space at the top of each mold as the lemonade will likely expand as it freezes.

Place the popsicle handle/stick into the center of the mold and place in freezer for 6-8 hours or overnight.

Just before serving, run the popsicle mold under hot/warm water to help loosen the popsicle from the mold.

Enjoy the refreshing treat!
