Apple Cupcakes – Ingredients

  • Cupcake batter (homemade or from a mix)
  • Cupcake liners
  • Red frosting
  • Green frosting
  • Pretzel sticks
  • Aluminum foil
  • Cupcake pan
  • Piping bag or Ziploc bag

How to make apple cupcakes

Step 1: Prepare Your Cupcake Batter

Start by preparing your favorite cupcake batter. Whether you prefer classic vanilla, decadent chocolate, or even cinnamon-spiced, mix the batter up according to the package instructions.

Step 2: Shape Your Cupcakes

While your oven preheats, prepare your cupcake pan. Line each cupcake mold with a cupcake liner. To create the apple shape, place a small aluminum foil ball between each liner and the pan. This will create a slight indent at the top of each cupcake, resembling the shape of an apple.

Step 3: Bake and Cool

Pour the prepared batter into each cupcake liner, filling them about two-thirds full. Bake according to your recipe instructions until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Once baked, allow the cupcakes to cool completely before frosting.

Step 4: Frost Your Cupcakes

Once cooled, it’s time to decorate! Use red frosting to generously ice each cupcake, covering the entire surface. Then use green frosting to add a small leaf detail at the top of each “apple.”

Step 5: Add Stems

Snap a few pretzel sticks in half, and use each half to create the “stem” of the apple!

Step 6: Serve and Enjoy!

Arrange your apple cupcakes on a serving platter and watch as they charm your guests. These adorable treats are perfect for any occasion, from children’s parties to autumn gatherings. They’re not just cupcakes—they’re a delightful creation that combines baking with a touch of whimsy.
