Who inspired us to make these Grilled Peanut Butter and Jelly Roll-Ups?

While we were inspired by TikTok user Chris Collins @somethingaboutsandwiches and his delicious-looking grilled cheese roll-ups. We wanted to put our own spin on his roll-ups and make it even sweeter with peanut butter and jelly!

With his tag line, “There’s nothing that can’t be sandwiched” and over 10.3 million views of his grilled cheese roll ups, we couldn’t resist trying!

How do the Peanut Butter & Jelly Roll-Ups taste?

Everyone loved them! The perfect amount of peanut butter and jelly and the texture of the crispy exterior of the roll-up made them difficult to eat just one. Don’t skimp on the butter, it’s like icing on a cake and gives it the perfect crunch.

As we enjoyed our roll-ups for lunch, the kids were exchanging other ideas as to what else they could make in roll-up form.

As the school year wraps up, I’ll definitely be making these a couple times for the kids lunch boxes. They will be pleasantly surprised!

Are there substitutions I can make to these sandwich roll-ups?

A few notes before we suggest any substitutions. It will be easier to roll the bread if it’s fresh and a soft sandwich bread rather than a bread such as sourdough which isn’t easy to roll, flatten and will likely crack.

You can absolutely use your favorite peanut butter and even crunchy if you prefer! I think we all have a favorite jelly, flavor or brand so definitely use your favorite.

You could substitute with honey as well and even mashed banana with Nutella sounds like a delicious addition to these roll-ups.
