This broccoli Christmas tree is an adorable and healthy Christmas snack for kids.
This festive Broccoli Christmas tree is a fun way to get kids to eat some veggies during the holiday season, when there are treats everywhere. They’ll love taking the decorations off the tree while getting a yummy healthy Christmas snack.
They can even help assemble and decorate the broccoli tree!
What’s the trick to getting this broccoli tree to stand up tall?
You can’t tell unless you look at the photos in the post but it’s a styrofoam cone! Of course we don’t want your veggies touching the cone directly so make sure to wrap it tightly in aluminum foil before adding the broccoli.
Then you’ll just need toothpicks to adhere the broccoli florets and cherry tomatoes to the cone.
What veggies can I use in this broccoli Christmas tree?
Broccoli florets are easy to spears and resemble a tree so we definitely recommend sticking with that for the tree cover!
For color, we used cherry tomatoes and bell peppers in various colors for ornaments. But use your imagination! Just make sure whatever veggies you add can easily be cut small enough and be pierced with a toothpick without breaking apart.
Just top off with a yellow bell pepper star and you’re done!
How should I display my Christmas Broccoli tree?
We showed it off simply here to get you started on inspiration on how to make one. But the holiday decorating is up to you! You can feature this veggie tree as your beautiful Christmas dinner centerpiece and pair with yummy dips all around. Or paired with delicious holiday charcuterie boards of meats, cheese and fruit.
