These Peanut Butter Snails are perfect for a summer snack or great for a lunch box recipe, too! The kids will love to make them with you!

We’re all about simple snacks in our house. And even though we want to keep them simple, I want to be sure that we’re adding in some nutrition at the same time. I love that this simple snack uses celery, apples, and peanut butter as those are three staple foods that we keep in our house all the time.

The kids love eating Ants on a Log which is pretty similar to this recipe in a lot of ways. Putting the peanut butter on the celery adds a fun flavor factor with that little bit of added crunch!

The best part is that this simple recipe is great for the kids to join in and help. They can literally help to create their very own peanut butter snail and then enjoy every bite.

Can you use a different nut butter spread?

You bet. We like to use peanut butter but you can use almond butter, cashew butter, sunflower butter, or anything else that you think that the kids would enjoy. This recipe is very forgiving so you can easily change it up to what works.

What else can you use for the snail eyes?

We love using chocolate chips for the eyes but you can use raisins as well! Anything that is darker in color and circular will work!

What else can I use for antennas?

I also think that pretzel sticks would be really cute for antennas as well!

How to store

Be sure that you store these peanut butter snails in an airtight container until you’re ready to serve them. They don’t have to be stored in the fridge, but they can be if you’d like.
