Make Valentine’s Day special with this cute bear toast for kids. An adorable Valentine treat! 

Valentine’s Day is one of our family’s favorite ways to show love through cute Valentine foods! This year, why not start the day on a sweet note by creating a delightful and (more) nutritious treat for your kids? Instead of all the chocolate and candies, try this healthy Valentine treat and make this sweet Valentine Bear Toast. This cute toast is a simple, fun, and creative way to make breakfast or lunch special.

Valentine Bear Toast – Ingredients

  • Whole grain bread slices
  • Nutella (chocolate-hazelnut spread) or peanut butter
  • Banana slices
  • Fresh strawberries
  • Mini chocolate chips for the eyes
  • Large chocolate chips for the nose

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Toast: Begin by toasting the bread slices which will make it easier to add spread. 
  2. Add the spread: Once your toast is ready, spread a generous layer of Nutella or peanut butter on each slice.
  3. Create the Bear Face: For the bear’s ears, place two banana slices at the top corners of each toast. Then, use another slice for the nose. Cut a strawberry into a heart shape for the center. Use two more bananas for each paw (4 total per slice). 
  4. Add the Eyes and Nose: Place two mini chocolate chips for the eyes and a larger one on top of the banana nose. 

Tips:

  • Nut Allergies: If allergies are a concern, use sunflower seed spread or any nut-free alternative. 
  • Variety is Key: Mix it up by using different fruits or spreads to create a variety of bear characters. For example, using blueberries or raisins for the eyes.
