Are there substitutions for the Love Bug Oreos?

Use your favorite Oreo cookies! Sometimes, depending on the holiday season, there are Oreos with red and other colored center cremes.

If you want to make them extra sweet, dip the entire oreo in chocolate or vanilla almond bark and then continue with the process of pink and red candy melts once the almond bark has hardened.

There’s a variety of Valentine sprinkles, so use whatever you have on hand or a mix of pinks, reds and purples.

Do I have to use Oreo cookies?

If you’re looking for a round bug look like these ladybug lookalikes we recommend a round cookie like Oreos. But you can use any simple round cookie like Vanilla wafers. Milano cookies have a more oval shape so you can use them to create different types of bugs!
