How do you make Ube Mango Coconut Trifle?

You’ll need our homemade ube pound cake recipe, coconut cream pudding, mango fruit and shaved coconut. We share a really simple way to make the coconut cream using Jello Vanilla pudding mix below.

If you don’t have time to make homemade ube pound cake you can buy ube sponge cake and layer those instead! I promise the homemade pound cake is super easy to make hough with just five ingredients.

Do you need fresh mango?

No! We know mango is a seasonal fruit and is not always in season. We used frozen mango chunks here from Trader Joe’s and they tasted great and perfectly sweet!

Can you substitute any other fruit for this trifle dessert recipe?

Ube is especially great tasting with mango which pairs well with its Asian flavor palette so we highly recommend sticking with mango!

However we think this would be delicious with other exotic fruits like Lychee or Passionfruit!
