Halloween Pretzels - Ingredients

  • Regular mini pretzels (for pumpkins and mummies)
  • Square pretzels (for Frankenstein)
  • Orange candy melts
  • White candy melts
  • Green candy melts
  • Half pieces of green M&Ms (for pumpkin stems)
  • Mini pretzel sticks (for Frankenstein bolts)
  • Candy eyes
  • Chocolate jimmies sprinkles (for Frankenstein’s hair)
  • Melted chocolate (for Frankenstein’s smile)
  • Parchment paper

Instructions:

Step 1: Make the Pumpkins

  1. Melt orange candy melts according to the package directions.
  2. Dip regular mini pretzels fully into the orange candy coating, letting the excess drip off.
  3. Place the coated pretzels on parchment paper.
  4. While still wet, press half of a green M&M at the top of each pretzel to create the stem.

Step 2: Make the Mummies

  1. Melt white candy melts.
  2. Dip regular mini pretzels in the white coating and place them on parchment paper.
  3. Drizzle more melted white candy melts back and forth over the top to mimic mummy gauze.
  4. While the coating is still soft, place two candy eyes in the center opening of each pretzel.

Step 3: Make Frankenstein

  1. Melt green candy melts.
  2. Dip square pretzels into the green coating and place them on parchment paper.
  3. Break a mini pretzel stick into quarters. While the coating is still wet, press one piece into each side of the square pretzel to make Frankenstein’s bolts.
  4. Add two candy eyes to the top half of the pretzel.
  5. Sprinkle chocolate jimmy sprinkles along the very top to create his hair.
  6. Use melted chocolate to pipe a small smile underneath the eyes.

Step 4: Let Them Set
Allow all the coated pretzels to set completely before removing them from the parchment paper.
