These Witch Cupcakes are the perfect cake mix cupcakes! Simple and delicious and great for a fun Halloween dessert.

Can you ever have too many Halloween desserts? I think not. This is why we’re constantly making desserts that are a little bit spooky and have a lot of deliciousness. The kids LOVE the Halloween season because it’s time for all things sweet and treats.

Since you get to use a cake mix, it makes this entire cupcake recipe so fast and simple. Little baking hacks like that are ones that I love to do.

The biggest thing that you have to worry about is making sure that you let the Halloween cupcakes cool down before adding the frosting. It can be hard to wait – but this is a process that you don’t want to rush.

Can I change up the flavors of these cupcakes?

Yes, you can. Since you’re using a cake mix, all you have to do is change up the flavor of cake mix. It’s really as simple as that. I tend to stick with vanilla or chocolate, but don’t let that deter you. There are so many yummy options out there to do!

Witch Cupcakes – Ingredients

How do I tell that the cupcakes are done baking?

The best way to be sure that cupcakes are done baking is to use a clean toothpick to test. Put the toothpick into the center of the cupcake and remove it. If the cupcake is clean, they’re done baking and ready to remove.

How to store leftover cupcakes

To keep these cupcakes as fresh as possible for as long as possible, keep them stored in an airtight container for later. You can actually keep them at room temperature if you’d like – but I prefer to have them in the fridge.

As long as you keep a lid on them to keep the air out, they’re going to stay fresh for a few days.
